Large painted canvas sets made for performances including The Sound of Losers and I Might as Well Be a Lemon.

Gash's hand-painted backdrops turn flat canvas into rooms, studios, stages and institutional interiors. Their visible seams and oversized gestures keep the theatre of the work in view.

The collection includes seven four-by-three-metre backdrops for The Sound of Losers and earlier sets made for I Might as Well Be a Lemon and Breeder or Sucker.
